This year, I have been recognized by the Council of Graduate Students (COGS) for my work enriching scholarship and programming around disability, equity, inclusion, and access. This award is presented to presently enrolled graduate students for work like creating DEI panels, workshops, or other DEI activities/events that create a more equitable environment or addresses/challenges/dismantles discrimination, sexism, racism, and prejudice within or through a program, unit, or department on campus.
